What is a special character?

A special character is a character you may not find on a standard keyboard, but from time to time may be very useful.  An example may be an acute accent for a French word used commonly in English, such as café or a © symbol at the footer of your business website.

 

How to insert one

Insert your cursor at the point you would like to insert the symbol, or highlight the character you want to change.  Select the Special Character' button at the top of the editor .  Select the character you want and click it.
